Alberta Election- Time off to vote!

Did you know that you are entitled by law to 3 consecutive hours to vote?

The polls are open 9am -8 pm. So, if you work past 5 pm, and have to be at work before 12 the College should be giving you time to vote.

A recent email suggested that employees use the advance voting stations. You do have that option as well. However, the College is required by law to give you this time off with pay, so do not feel pressured to vote in advance if you would rather vote on the day. It is important to note that the College does have the right to choose what time they give you to vote - that is, it can choose whether to give you time at the start or at the end of your shift.
